The Kody O’Bear Community Student Award was recently presented to Hope Craig of Georgetown, Delaware. She is a student at Sussex Tech High School, in Georgetown, Delaware, and a member of the Chamber Ensemble Choir.
Hope was chosen as a recipient of this award because of her volunteer work with the Georgetown Boys and Girls Club and for tutoring fellow students at Sussex Tech High School.
This award was created and is presented to honor local students who give back to their communities, organizations or programs that support the mission of improving the lives of area children or adults. The Kody O’Bear Community Youth Award is a way the youth can be applauded for their support of the communities they live in or have a passion to help. Without the support of youth, many organizations would not be able to continue their missions.
The Kody O’Bear Awards team suggests that community members thank these young people and support their passion, talents and volunteerism. The award is presented by Delmarva’s Community Bear, Kody O’Bear, who is the ambassador for promoting positive and healthy activities for kids and adults of all ages.
