The Kody O’Bear Community Youth Award
The Kody O’Bear Community Youth Award was created to showcase youth in our community who have overcome challenges and exemplify the Kody O’Bear Mission of “Making a Positive Difference” by contributing to their community and/or the world. This contribution can be demonstrated in many ways ranging from involvement in existing local volunteer programs to the creation of a project which assists others or enhances their community.
To be eligible, students must be in grades Six through Twelve when the award is received. Although academic achievement is valued, greater emphasis is placed on students who have selflessly used their talents and time to assist others or give back to their community.
Nominations can be submitted by individuals, teachers, or organization leaders. Candidates will be selected by a Committee of community members. Upon selection, the recipient will be awarded a trophy, a certificate, and $250 for their education or for their project. In addition, there will be a Press Release which will include a photo of the recipient with Kody O’Bear and a description of the student’s achievement.

The Kody O’Bear Community Award
Kody O’Bear, through Kody’s Kids Incorporated, has been an ambassador of goodwill for children since 2001. The Kody O’Bear Community Award has been created to honor local businesses and organizations that follow his mission of improving the lives of children. Candidates for this award would be businesses that give back to the community through avenues that affect our youth, such as donating to programs for children or offering programs that showcase children’s talents or volunteerism.
Nominations for the award will be submitted by the public, then reviewed and selected by a committee of community members. Openings for nominations will be announced on these websites: www.Kodyobear.com and www.Kodyskids.org. The recipient will receive a Trophy, Certificate, and a photo opportunity with Kody O’Bear for press release.
